The Muir Group LLC ("The Muir Group," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data when you visit www.themuirgroupllc.com (the "Site") or interact with our services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us and information collected automatically when you use the Site.

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data: pages visited, time on page, referring URL, and browser type, collected via Umami Analytics (a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics platform).
  • Session data: authentication tokens stored in secure HTTP-only cookies when you log in.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your inquiries and schedule consultations.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: We use trusted third-party services — including Resend (email delivery), Calendly (appointment scheduling), and Manus (website hosting and infrastructure) — solely to operate the Site and deliver our services. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.
  • AI processing: Content you submit to our AI tools is processed by a large language model API to generate your report. Submissions are not used to train AI models.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of The Muir Group or others.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Data Retention

5. Cookies and Tracking

The Site uses Umami Analytics, a privacy-respecting analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are placed on your device.

We use a secure, HTTP-only session cookie solely to maintain your authenticated session if you log in to the Site. This cookie is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
